I worked as a designer in Magazine Team of Korean Student Association (KSA). The Magazine Team consists of editors and designers to organize and design an annual magazine called Dahm-So.

The theme of Issue 10 is: Everything in Between in Day and Night. The KSA magazine changed its title from Everything in Between to Dahm-So two years ago, and the publishing year’s theme explores the magazine’s past, present, and future.
The 10th-issued magazine was specially published in double covers to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of itself. Both sides (Day and Night) interact, connect, and communicate with each other.

I designed two articles that respectively belong to different time of the theme, Day and Night—"Kan-Win" is included in Day and "Colors of the City" is included in Night.

The purpose of the article called "Kan-Win" is to introduce a non-profit organization, Kan-Win, supporting Asian-American women and children victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Chicago area, and to inform Kan-Win's mission. I chose a vibrant color and big and bold typeface for its design in order to alert the readers about "all forms of violence against women, including domestic violence and sexual assault."

The article, “Colors of the City,” is a part of the Night theme, so each letter of the title is inspired from a full moon. The article introduces landmarks or attractions and interesting things to do at those places in day and night. I horizontally separated a spread and colored the two parts in different colors—light pink on the top and navy on the bottom—which is associated with the sky in the day and Lake Michigan in the night.
