I worked as a designer in Magazine Team of Korean Student Association (KSA). The Magazine Team consists of editors and designers to organize and design an annual magazine called Dahm-So.

The theme of Issue 11 is: turning over a new leaf. Korea is going through a period of transition in social and political realms such as Inter-Korean summits, the rise of feminism, and renovation of places. The 11th edition of Dahm-So features articles about conflicts between merging and synthesizing of the old and the new.

In this year, I designed an article called "Remake Sewoon" that is about reestablishment of Sewoon Plaza.

Sewoon Plaza was built as the first residential plaza by Korean architect, Soo-geun Kim 1968. Sewoon Plaza used to be the center of the manufacture industry at that time, while it started to decline since the distribution system has been changed to Internet and mobile technology. However, Sewoon Plaza has revived since the reestablishment project and a university campus were pushed ahead by the city of Seoul.

I chose light peach color for the main color scheme to give the readers a sense of warm and comfortable feelings that come from the revival of Sewoon Plaza.
